Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) - Tahereh Mafi

Review: Shatter Me
Author: Tahereh Mafi
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Dystopia
Recommend To: Dystopia and Romance fans, people who can stand unusual writing

My initial thoughts….. asdfghjklpoiuytrewqzxcvbnm

After organizing this into actual words I got this….. OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED HOW CAN THIS BOOK BE POSSIBLE IT IS TOO GOOD TO EXIST BUT OH SWEET JESUS AM I GLAD IT DOES.

After organizing and tweaking this garbled sentence a little bit more I finally got this… This book just blew my mind. The plot, yes it was dystopian but seriously? Can you really group it into one category? The characters, Juliette, Adam, Warner, James, Kenji just all soflawless. The romance…the action……the feeling. It was almost overwhelming to absorb the little details that made it so seamless. For example, Juliette counts. She counts everything like a crazy person. But wouldn’t you after spending 3 years in an asylum feel like a crazy person? Wouldn’t you just to keep yourself in the present start counting? The way she remains herself after all the terrible (yes terrible) events that happen to her she remains human. And that is just one reason why this book deserves a billion stars. Oh and also what made this fun to read was the mixed reviews and reactions from everyone. The spectrum ranging from hate to absolute love was just entertaining. I rank on the love (I am gushing about it), but I know others had a tough time and thats fine. Opinions are fun.

The Plot: Juliette Ferrars is our leading lady in Shatter Me. And believe me when I say the things she goes through are enough to break anyone. Not only is the world on the verge of collapse, Juliette is “afflicted” with a curse so awful not even her parents would touch her or love her. In fact they were the worst if you ask me. Her classmates would bully her, yes, but her own parents would stick her hand in the fire to check if she, a child, was a monster? Who is the real monster here, huh? Okay sorry, back to the plot not my horrified ranting. Anyway, she gets tossed into an asylum after being subjected to awful poking and prodding and tests and other disgusting, unbelievable things. (This book is kind of a smack in the gut if you hadn’t realized that yet). This is where our story starts (yeah sorry that was all backstory, and maybe a little spoilery) when she gets a new roommate Adam (yum). And then a series of events unfolds which I will not go into because I want you to READ THE BOOK.

The Characters:
Juliette: First of all, I love that name. Reminds me of Romeo and Juliet and doomed love sort of thing. IDK why I like that, but I personally think it gives an awesome feel. Anyway, she is just pushed to the breaking point so many times, but gods, she is just so strong. And vulnerable but at the same time you wonder wow, if I was put through that much, would I come out as nice as her? Or would I be like Warner? After that she is very caring, pretty intelligent (although sometimes she doesn’t use it), compassionate, and concerned with people. She doesn’t believe humans are unredeemable. She doesn’t want to hurt anyone, which actually makes her the perfect candidate to carry such a lethal ability. She won’t hurt anyone innocent.

Adam: Ahh Adam. My thoughts ranged from omg what a jerk, to omg I can’t believe you just did that, to omg you are so gorgeous and perfect for Juliette, keep her safe forever. Strong, brave, determined, and ahhh gods his relationship with James. But at times....idk...his character came off almost flat compared to Warner.

Warner: Now if Adam is perfect for Juliette, then Warner is….not perfect for her. He’s just perfect. Yeah you hate him, but geez, he is such a wounded person you can’t help but want to hug his little psycho self. You can tell he had a messed up childhood and is what Juliette could have been, but isn’t. Anyway, he has an obsessive infatuation with Juliette and it was fantastic. That sounds really weird and bizarre but it’s true. The way he was written just absolutely fanatical about Juliette was plain awesome and it gave depth to his originally believed heartless character.

James and Kenji: I’m sticking them together because they were both adorable. I don’t want to give too many spoilers but I’m terrible at doing that and so I will spill. James is incredibly loveable. Especially for my horrible weakness when it comes to little kids and the younger siblings of characters. It’s impossible for me not to get attached to them within the first five seconds of meeting them and I assure you, you will love this little boy and his hyperness so much. Kenji is also a cutie pie. Starts out as a sarcastic, funny guy who just makes you feel good. And then…we learn. Mind blowing.

The Romance: Hallelujah. I love this kid of heartbreakingly, achingly good stuff. How am I supposed to speak of this without spoilers? Okay, whatever, caution to the wind. Read at your own risk. Ahh when I found out Adam had loved her forever and hisbackstory and how he was justsearching for her his whole life. Almost makes me wish life was a fairy tale and that people didn’t hate me. Just kidding but the romance was just so immaculate and pure. The two of them, old childhood friends who never spoke but were justthere for each other. But then comes….Warner. My poor baby Warner. So besotted, and completely captivated by Juliette that he actually begins to feel? Half of me almost wanted Warner to win her even though he was just so messed up. Trying to use her as a weapon and exact revenge. That sort of thing. Actually now that I think about it, most of you probably hated Warner except for the ones who read Destroy Me. Whups. Go read that review too, sorry about that. All you need to know is that Warner has a reason for being so sad and twisted, and even though I think Adam is totally the perfect, sweetest guy out there for Juliette and she belongs with him in the end, Warner and Jules havechemistry.

The Style: Very different andvery original. I can see how some people might be bothered by the style. They may call it “juvenile” or “choppy” or even “aggravating” but I think it was just plain interesting. After all the human mind doesn’t work in perfect sentences. And Juliette hasn’t had human contact for months. She’s been alone with her thoughts. Plus she probably wants to avoid thinking about her awful memories thus the cross-outs in an effort to repress them. Plus the numbers, as mentioned before. She thinks about everything in terms of numbers which I, for my part, thought was an amazing, unique touch not many authors would have thought of. Finally the metaphors and similes. Yeah they came constantly at you like rain (see what I did there?) but I thought some of them were unusual, beautiful and lyrical. Many were slightly repetitive, and it was all very fluffy, but overall a gorgeous use of words.

Overall: Awesome book if you like dystopia, sci-fi, romance, superpower stuff, all just bundled up with a side dish of originality and sorrow. If that is your type, then this is the book for you. I know it was one of my favorites. The characters, plot, style, everything was just incredible. Seriously.

The Last Echo (Body Finder #3) - Kimberly Derting

Review: The Last Echo
Author: Kimberly Derting
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Recommend To: People who love morbid mysteries and romance

I love this series like a chocaholic loves chocolate. That’s a terrible comparison, but it’s true. The suspense and the romance put together make it absolutely impossible to put down.

The Plot:

In this book (it’s the third in the series) Violet has begun working with Sara Priest’s team to help find killers with her gruesome ability. She finds dead bodies by a pull towards and a certain sensory feeling around them (a sound, smell, taste, etc.) These are what she calls echoes, and an identical imprint is left on the killer of the person (this is how she can track the killer, not just the bodies). Then comes our serial killer, the Girlfriend Collector who is absolutely beyond disturbing and he has got Violet in his sights. Of course we have Jay (the best part of the whole series haha) and Rafe, who Violet can’t but help feel a slight attraction towards (not okay).

The Characters:

Violet: The main character obviously has a fascinating and frightening ability to find the dead, but I think she has handled it well. Well, usually. She is brave and intelligent, qualities she is forced to use time and time again to get out of dangerous situations. I sometimes wish (like we all do) that characters don’t insist on keeping secrets from adults and people that could help . She makes me feel frustrated sometimes, but it’s okay because it is impossible not to root for her against impossible odds. She is awesome.

Jay: *Ahem*, where the heck do I start with this boy? He is caring, thoughtful, selfless, and so, so, so sexy. Really, the parts of the book that included him and Violet gave me shivers (of happiness, not the shivers you get from the creeper). He really is so perfect, always concerned about Violet, frustrated that he can’t help her, and so trusting. I almost wanted him to get up and punch Rafe across the face (he didn’t), but it’s okay. I still wish we had more of him in this book though, too much Rafe.

Rafe: Eh, I am sure some out there like him, but I will always be a die-hard Jay fan. Rafe saves Violet’s life a bunch of times, turns out he loves her (like we didn’t see that one coming), and you know, he has an ability like Violet’s. He is shrouded in mysteries and secrets which drives me nuts (why does he have to be so dangsecretive?), but he’s a good guy, also willing to do anything for Violet.

The Collector: Umm can anyone say creepy? Like wow, is this guy messed up. The little snippets we get into his head just made me want to cower or soothe him (how crazy is that?) But he needs to be stopped no matter what and Violet is just the person to do it.

Sara Priest: Also very secretive (hint, hint), helps Violet find her place on the team. She’s a pretty kick-butt lady.

Vi’s friends and the Team: I love all of them. They are so funny and good supporting characters. I want more!

The Romance:

Oh my god. How can I get this point across? THE ROMANCE IS SMOULDERING. It’s undeniably awesome. The first two books are all her and Jay (which I loved, especially the first), while this one has some Rafe thrown I there (I am not ashamed to admit I don’t like him at all ). Anyway, the moments between Jay and Violet, and just how perfect they are together is amazing. This is one of those love triangles I know exactly who needs to win. I wish there was a Jay in real life. I would marry him (again not ashamed).

The Style:

Next to last, the style is amazing. Whenever she dunks us into the Collector’s head you feel completely there. And very, very scared. It’s so suspenseful and at times I almost fell off my chair (or I would have if I was sitting on one). It’s is (I repeat)impossible to put down and if you don’t want your day to flash by you or you have important things to do, wait to read it because you will forget everything.

Overall:

One of my favorite series ever, and I wish I could recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately, I know a lot of wussies who refuse to read it because it’s scary. So yeah, don’t read it if your bladder scares easily. But all in all, one of my favorite books and series’ ever. If you want to know why, see above review.

Mark of the Princess (Kingdom Chronicles #1) - B.C. Morin

Review: Mark of the Princess
Author: B.C. Morin
Rating: 4/5
Genre: High Fantasy
Recommend To: faerie buffs and fantasy lovers

Wow. I really, really, enjoyed this book. I’ve been reading bunches of dystopia lately, so it was great to read some pure, unadulterated fantasy. The characters were great, the plot was awesome, and the romance just got better as it progressed. There were a few issues here and there, but hey, when it’s good, it’s good.

The Plot:

Now this was unusual in a number of ways. So we’ve got the fierce Princess Alannah, who hates being cooped up and is constantly trying to avoid her bodyguards; her adopted, lovable sister, Evyette, who is shrouded in mysteries from her past; a prince, Kaleb, in love with Alannah who reciprocates his love…for a while; Tristan, his best friend, an adorable jokester you can’t help but love; and Brennus, the dark mysterious fae who helped Alannah, and who can’t possibly havefeelings for her could he? Add in an evil fae, Maligo, intent on getting revenge on the faeries who shunned him by releasing a demon army the story is just getting started. It’s complicated, but at the same time absurdly simple.

The Characters:

It’s hard to say if they were unbelievably fascinating, but they were incredibly enjoyable to read about. Each one was special in their own way, and each was equally lovable. Alannah is so independent, Evyette is so sweet and good, Kaleb is so protective and caring, Tristan is so amusing and also protective (of Evyette), and Brennus….Brennus is just Brennus. He is the epitome of dark, tall, and handsome. Can’t help but love each of them. I just wish there had been a little more on Maligo. Just a wee bit. I like to love and hate the villains at the same time, and in this….I did neither. He was just the bad guy, and for me he came off a little flat. Just a guy with a crow intent on ruining the world (haha).

The Romance:

This was one aspect I couldn’t let go of the book for. I’ll start with Evyette and Tristan because that’s easier. They were just so adorable! My goodness, every time they were even near each other made me smile like a crazy person. It was just so cute and innocent. Truly. Then with Alannah there was a whole trianglish thing going on, but well, we all know who she truly belongs with (*cough, cough, Brennus*). Kaleb was cute when it came to Alannah, and even I got jealous when Alessa came into the picture, but it’s really too bad because she belongs with Brennus, who can’t help but be spicy. Now I just wish Alannah can get a move on and figure it out. I hate the undecisive love triangles.

The Style:

I had problems here. I know it’s a self-published book, and so it can’t be held up to the highest standards, but the writing was just a little choppy. It sounded like incredibly formal, like Kings and Queens with a stilted speech pattern, one second, and the next it sounds like a teenager in the 21st century going “whatever” and “alright”. It was a little strange. I do wish the dialogue had been better. It was definitely neutralized by the plot and characters though.

Overall:

Huge fun to read. Pure fantasy fun, with entertaining, enchanting characters, lots of romance, and adventure. It leaves you wanting more, and to read more of Alannah’s story, and so I do recommend

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) - Marissa Meyer

Review: Cinder
Author: Marissa Meyer
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Hmm....fantasy, dytopia, sci-fi, retelling?
Recommend To: People who want to live

HOLY MOLY. This book was just amazing. I still can’t shake this crazy world full of cyborgs and Lunars….and LUNAR CYBORGS (yep, both mixed together). Plus it had Kai. And Cinderella.

The Plot:

Cinder is an orphan, with an evil stepmother and two overprivaleged stepsisters (surprise! One of them actually isn’t evil, just spoiled). She is a cyborg, so she’s half technology half person. So cool, and very futuristic. Plus she has a lie detector. I seriously want one. Who doesn’t? Anyway, mixed in with all this are a plague, and a society on the Moon headed by an evil queen with an evil agenda who can control minds . And of course this all has something to do with Cinder, the future version of Cinderella. Original much? Of course, this book is so amazing and intense, it would have little girls crying for their mommies. It’s is definitely not the regular take on a fairytale. Except for Prince Kai, yum. Oh and also, it’s incredible how this actually isn’t taking place in America, it’s New China. That gives it an extra super awesome flavor.

The Characters:

Cinder is super independent, or at least she wishes she could be. Her controlling stepmother is crazy evil, and hates Cinder (pretty much the same as the original.) But, weirdly enough, we have one evil stepsister, and one actually nice one that Cinder loves. Cinder has a past shrouded in mystery, she has no memory of where she came from, or how she became a cyborg. She has no idea who she is (pay attention there, that’s important at the end, although all astute readers can probably guess her identity midway through the book). Kai is the super sexy Prince who somehow ends up at her mechanic’s stall in the market (China remember?) to get his robot fixed for suspicious reasons (lie detector remember?). Anyway, Kai himself is a guy really devoted to duty, being honest, and working hard for his loyal, loving subjects. Yeah, he’s cute.

The Romance:

It’s pretty obvious Cinder and Kai fall in love (I mean everyone has read or seen Cinderella right? If not where do you come from?) It’s easy to see it from Cinder’s point of view, trickier from Kai’s. He just wants her at the ball, he never exactly professes his love for her or kisses her (yet). Plus he’s dedicated to doing his duty, so no, he can’t exactly be with her (also notyet). So basically, we see a mutual attraction but nothing that’s been acted on. Waiting on the second one for that.

The Style:

The writing was amazing, detailed and ambitious. This book could so easily have been overdone, with too much craziness happening, but it was just perfect, with a balanced mix of sci-fi, fantasy, dystopia, and fairy tale. Who else could have pulled that off? Not many.

Overall:

This was an amazing book, so different from any others. However, it has one of the nastiest cliff-hangers ever written. One of those, OMG wait the book just ended or did someone rip the rest of the pages out to make me furious type of cliff-hanger endings. It was crazy unfair. But it’s okay because the rest was just mind-blowing. A need to read with an incredibly, fresh, original plot mixed with characters right out of a fairy tale and some other crazy conspiracies and revelations happening. Seriously.

Reached (Matched #3) - Ally Condie

Review: Reached
Author: Ally Condie
Rating: 4/5
Genre: Dystopa
Recommend To: fans of Delirium

Finished! Wow, the epic Matched trilogy has really ended? Seems so. My heart is still racing actually. As in the last books, the writing is superb, the characters all tug at your heart and the plot is complex and twisted. It’s a real experience.

The Plot: We resume as Cassia, Xander and Ky (all part of the Rising now) come to terms with their new roles, with their belief in the legendary Pilot and as they try to put together all the clues of the Plague, the tablets, and the Otherlands. Of course, we have the usual heartbreak and love triangles but overall the romance didn’t overwhelm the storyline at all. In fact, it gave the story an altogether more melancholy feel. The plot itself was rather up and down especially because we were missing some of the story (especially with the red tablets wreaking havoc in Cassia’s memory) but by the end everything was able to come together even if it was drawn out.

The Characters: Reunited with Cassia, Ky and Xander as well as Indie, Eli, and some new, such as the Pilot and Oker. Each is special and flawed uniquely, with his/her own haunting story. Compared with other dystopian boy meets girl novels, the Matched trilogy is so much more in depth with the backstories and lives of each of the characters. The triple POV helps too, rather than make everything confusing. It helps bring three sides into one story. Cassia and Ky are of course focused on the cure and trying to get back with each other, but there is Xander also, trying to find his place in someone’s heart. Painfully poignant but you are unable to put it down.

The Romance: Like said, it doesn’t affect the story of the three struggling to find a cure and save the ones they love. They have families who they love too, not just a love interest. A love triangle (of course) but well done and resolved beautifully (even though I would have loved to know even more about Laney).

The Writing: This is honestly the best part of the novel. It is a long novel but it doesn’t feel like it because of the wonderful prose and beautiful descriptions. All the stories, poems and pictures serve a wonderful purpose and make Reached a very rich novel. It’s one that shows the struggle the characters  face to make their own choices and leaves a struggle still to be faced by the characters at the end, while still finishing the story and letting us know it’s time to move on.

Blood Warrior (Alexa Montgomery #1) - H.D. Gordon

Review: Blood Warrior
Author: H.D. Gordon
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Paranormal, Fantasy
Recommend To: Paranormal-romance lovers

Oh boy, oh boy. I love books with strong, sassy female characters. I really, truly do. They’re just so much fun to read. By H.D. Gordan.

The Plot: Alexa is a normal girl until one day, she finds out she isn’t. She’s a warrior, the last of her kind, and she is really, really good at killing things. She is forced to flee with her younger sister Nelly, and Jackson her best-friend. She ends up, reaching an entire city of paranormals and starts training there for an unknown mission while trying to learn who she is, her destiny, and how she can keep the flame of anger inside her from spiraling of uncontrollably.

The Characters (a.k.a the Fun Part):

Protagonist: Alexa Montgomery, fiery, passionate, funny, loyal, brave, intelligent, and strong with a huge sense of what’s right and wrong (except for her smoking but what can I do?). She just drew me in with her snarkiness and her inability to follow any authority. Her connection with children was also really sweet in her relationship with Akira and Soraya. Her fury when she learned about the village (what village? I’m not telling. I give too many spoilers anyway) matched my fury perfectly and even though she can make stupid decisions, be impulsive, head strong, and rash, her flaws work to add more depth to her character. After all, perfect characters are boring. I also loved how she was trying so hard to push down the fire inside her. The angry mess of pain could also only be squelched by Kayden.

….adding more fun to the mix….

The Romance (a.k.a More Fun):

Kayden: First off, yay for an original hot name. How on earth do authors expect people to fall in love with characters named George, Edward, and Thomas? Eew. Kayden. He is so similar to Alexa. Full of that fight and both are irresistibly drawn to each other. Very yummy. So then why oh why must Jackson also be present?

Jackson: I will start off by saying all of me feels that Alexa belongs with Kayden. Usually it’s pretty obvious in a love triangle who you need to win. Kayden. But Jackson is pretty dang cute too. He’s always been with her, stood by her side, made her laugh. Not to mention he chose her for his mate so if she breaks his heart I won’t be able to help feeling terrible. He claims he’s always loved her. She loved him too, bus as friends. I don’t know why she can’t see it wouldn’t work. Oh well, what’s romance without a love triangle? Oh yeah, that’s right, romance. All stories don’t need one.

Tommy, eh, he really wasn’t much of a love interest, just a cute friend who’s helpful and funny.

Back to Characters (I skip around, it’s hard not to when thoughts get jumbled up):

Nelly: So I loved her but she annoyed me to. I mean hold it, Nelly has known the whole time paranormals exist and she and her mother keep it from Alexa. Sure for good reason. But as a human I personally hate it when stuff is kept from me. It feels like being on the outside of a joke everyone else understands. Anyway, other than that the sister relationship was sweet. Both would do anything to protect the other and all that jazz. Normal sister stuff.

Soraya: I needed to add her in. She was just so sweet! And oh god, her life? It filled me with fury. And she doesn’t exist. The power of books. It amazes me. Anyway, Soraya is pretty much the most adorable little girl you will meet in a story and a lot of what Alexa does is for her. Super sweet.

Overall: So great book, strong female characters, love interest with a not-half-bad-but-still –annoying-as-Hades love triangle. To read if fantasy and paranormal romance are your forte. Definitely one of my favorites. I could have used more information on the world, the levels of authority, and different species but since Alexa didn’t know much our knowledge was hindered by what she knew. A cliff-hanger ending so brace yourself and get ready to read.

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1) - Katie McGarry

Review: Pushing the Limits
Author: Katie McGary
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Contemporary, realistic-fiction, romance
Recommend To: Romance lovers

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)
Ahhhh oh my god. It’s unusual for me to read realistic fiction. I’m more of a fantasy, dystopia, sci-fi, omg magic kind of junkie. But this turned out to be one of the most heart-wrenching beautiful books I have ever read. Seriously. By Katie McGarry.

The Plot: So much is going on. Both Echo and Noah are incredibly damaged teenagers. Both find it hard to trust adults and have multiple issues in their personal lives. One day Echo is popular and untouchable, the next she is gossiped about because of the mysterious scars she can’t remember getting on the day she almost died. She wants to know, but she can’t. Her broken mind has suppressed the memories. Not only that, her mother has a restraining order and her controlling father has remarried with her previous babysitter. Yes problems. Noah’s parents died in a fire and ever since then he has struggled through multiple brutal foster homes. Labeled a bad boy, he has turned to drugs and using girls. He has one goal, to get his beloved younger brothers (my god they were adorable) out of the system that hurt him so badly. Both are brought together by a school guidance social worker named Mrs. Collins (a.k.a. The best adult in this whole dang book, I want to meet her) and start to fall for each other as they struggle to solve their problems.

The Characters:

Echo: Brave, brave, Echo. She struggles to remember what happened to her on the dark night she almost died (yes she eventually remembers what happened) and it’s terrible. No person should ever have to go through that. Not to mention how she has to deal with her overbearing, pressuring, so controlling father. Honestly, it’s amazing how she doesn’t just break and go stark-raving mad. She is just so heroic and fierce no matter what she goes through.

And then came Noah….

Noah: Asdfghjkl. Can’t describe him. Ahhhhhh so gorgeous, with a wounded soul. So perfect and daring and brave and omg his love for his brothers. One thing I thought was stupid was dude, really? Drugs? How are you going to get custody over them if you do drugs? He drops them though, so I was ok. Anyway, of course being a struggling, single dad-like older brother is not a great plan but hey, all he wanted to do was spare them his own experiences. He is so protective really, it just broke my heart into pieces, over, and over, and over again.

Mrs. Collins: I loved this woman. Every single bit. Omg the bad driving, the random rapid-fire questions, the supportiveness, how she lives up to her word, everything. Especially the bad driving. I couldn’t stop laughing. Anyway, she is a freaking genius and I am so glad I have adults similar to her in my life. She is god-sent to Echo’s and Noah’s lives and I love, love, love how she blackmails Noah into being a good, little boy haha. If she wasn’t in the story, it wouldn’t have been half as good. Or it wouldn’t have even taken place, because honestly, she is the best thing that happens to Noah and Echo (other than each other).

The Friends: Lila, Isaiah and Beth. I’ll start with Lila – even though she is popular, she is genuinely a friend to Echo. She really cares about her, is there for her, and doesn’t drop her just because Echo has weird scars and a crazy mother. She is another really supportive character who I loved. Isaiah and Beth. Hmm…also drug addicts (I hate drugs so not cool with me) but the love they kept denying between them was so cute. I felt so horrible for Beth with what she has to go through with her mother and her mother’s deranged boyfriends. When Noah and Isaiah went to defend her I almost cried (I did cry a lot throughout the book)but I was so happy. However, the trouble she gave Echo was not okay with me. She was just annoying at times. Isaiah was just adorable, with his obsession with Beth and cars. They were Noah’s family in a way and they also made the book special.

The Romance: Noah and Echo were perfect for each other. The end. Just kidding but seriously they were so beautiful and adorable. I couldn’t stop smiling, or laughing, or crying. Ahhhh gods. When they admitted they loved each other (Noah, why the heck did it take you so long you were making me NERVOUS!) it was just so flawless. Their love was pure and untainted by their pasts and it was delicate and vulnerable yet strong and unbreakable. Does that make sense? Probably not, but it was magnificent all the same.

Overall: This book is a mad crazy, wild rollercoaster ride. If you can’t stomach incredible emotions just coursing through you with no control over them, then don’t read this book (if you are this person you are a ninny and a wimp with no feelings). Otherwise, get ready for tears and laughter and OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED and OMG PLEASE NO and I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I’M GOING TO BALL UP AND CRY. Cause that’s how absurdly good this book was.
